Though I think I'll stay away from weathering powders for now, the Imperium hasn't imposed a hose pipe ban on San Guisuga. ;o)
Thanks for the comments :-D. If you're interested, the powders used were Forge World Light Earth and Black Soot. You need two passes of powder with the Light Earth (more if you want it pronounced), but the Black Soot seams to only need one application and spray.

They look awesome, the weathering effect looks really good on them. Almost makes me what to give it a go.
